[In Italy] a decent internet is arrived
As a italian fellow I often post about stuff dealing with our job in my country.
This story is ridicolous: internet, in Italy, can be considered decent in 2009.
Yesterday the NIC ( the only organization which manages domain registration, in his country, as an external source apart from DNS registrar, customer and hosting company in the whole world ) started the asinchronous domain registration mode.
So, only from yesterday, in Italy it's possible to register a domain ( .it ) and can work with it as soon as DNS are ready.
Before we needed to send a fax to the NIC, have confirm of approval of the transaction and wait burocratic times ( also a week ) in order to use our brand new domain.
Spaghetti country never cheats.
